Minnesota Power – Maintenance and Capital Projects

Lakehead Constructors, Inc. is engaged with Minnesota Power in a major air quality control upgrade involving three of its coal-fired electric generating stations: Laskin, Taconite Harbor, and Boswell. When the work is completed, environmental retrofits estimated at approximately $260 million for the three plants will dramatically cut emissions of particulate, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and mercury.

In addition to new construction and existing plant retrofit work, Lakehead Constructors also performs routine maintenance services to the power generating industry. These maintenance services include:
