Minnesota Power – Dry Ash Maintenance Building
Lakehead Constructors built the 5,500 sq ft Dry Ash Maintenance building at the Boswell Energy center. The precast concrete building shell was erected in three days and was constructed on a thickened edge slab. Notable features of this building include Anvil-Top 300 in one of the service bays. Anvil Top is a metallic aggregate topping designed to provide a long service life under the loads imposed by heavy tracked construction equipment. The building also collects storm water from the roof and recycles it for use as vehicle wash water.
