Lakehead Constructors, Inc. successfully renews ISO9001 certification
Lakehead Constructors, ISO certified since August 2010, recently announced that it received an unconditional approval on their yearly surveillance audit, which was conducted by SRI Quality Systems Registrar. SRI has headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
ISO9001 is a quality management system which is designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to their business. The organization has to demonstrate they understand the procedures involved and have ready access to the requisite talent, resources, and experience necessary to get the job done.
Third-party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that organizations meet the requirements of ISO 9001. Over a million organizations worldwide are independently certified, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.
Brian Maki, Lakehead’s President and Chief Executive Officer stated that he was personally very pleased with the company’s performance and all of Lakehead’s employees who worked hard to achieve this success once again. “We are very proud of the quality of service we provide our customers in the region, and successfully renewing our ISO certification is further proof of our commitment to quality work done right the first time. Lakehead is one of a very few general contractors in the entire United States to achieve this recognition, thus making Lakehead a great choice for your construction and maintenance needs”.
Lakehead Constructors, Inc. has served the Upper Midwest for almost 100 years, offering preconstruction, construction management and traditional construction services, industrial maintenance services, and is a leader in the pulp and paper, power generation, mining and steel, piping, specialized mechanical services, institutional and commercial construction markets.
